Hi Folks,

Tullamore CC are going for a trip on the Barrow this Sunday. 11th May, if any open boaters would like to join us.

Meeting at Clashganny, thats between Borris and Graignamanagh (Carlow / Kilkenny border) at 10 olock.

This is well worth a trip to. The river is not all that challenging, and it does have the option of bypassing the weirs and the small rapids by the series of lateral canals all along the river. The directions are here: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=en&g ... =UTF8&z=11

yea, fair play to you for making the trip up from Cork to the Lough Ennell weekend, great weekend was had by all, there are some great photos of it!

could anyone help i am planning a trip down the barrow in the next few weeks a 5day poss more .
where is the best place to start as high up as poss

Jon,

I've done from Sallins Co. Kildare all the way to St Mullins Co.kilkenny/Co.Carlow Its a very achievable target over 5/6 days with lots of interesting places to see alons the way.
