Get together:River Inny and Lough Ennell 26/27th April

Hi Folks,

we've put together an informal weekend for anyone who wants to join us in Jonathan Swift Park, just outside Mullingar in Westmeath

Directions can be found here: http://maps.google.com/maps?tab=ml

We have camping space booked, and there are B&Bs close by for the faint hearted! We dont have a very formal plan, but the general gist is:

Saturday

We're going to meet at Lilliput at 9am, travel over to the river Inny, our nearest river and make our way down. Its a nice stretch with nothing too challenging on it. Alternatively, Lilliput is on Lough Ennell so people can stay there either.

Saturday Evening

Campfire and Ceili. We're hoping to have a bit of a barbeque and a ceili. Bring an instrument if you can play (or even if you cant). We'll have a few gazebos and maybe a marquee if we're lucky, just in case it rains.

Sunday

This is going to be a day of rest. We re going to head out for a paddle on Lough Ennell. If people are interested, we can also do a trip down the river Brosna. Its a nice fairly flat stretch.

We're not going to plan the weekend to death. Its just a means of getting a whole load of canoeists in the same place to meet up and have a paddle. If theres anything more that people want from the weekend, just give myself or James a shout.

The location is fairly central, not too far off major roads. Hope to see you all there.

Sorry Dave, I definitely wont make that. I'm in enough trouble for going to this weekend the day before my exams start. I'll pass on the invite this weekend though
